One Year Anniversary

On July 16, 2010 something magical took place.
Taylor and I were married for time and all eternity!

Marriage has truly been wonderful. I'm not going to say easy because it's something you
have to constantly work at. It's really challenging at times, tests your patience, forces you to compromise.
However, marriage is also very rewarding, fun, and full of love (99% of the time right?).
Looking back over this past year, I would not change a thing. It's incredible how
much you learn in one years time.

A few essential things I have taken note of are to remember:
How important it is to serve one another, to extract the good in one another.
To be willing to forgive and laugh at pathetic arguments involving misunderstandings
and poor communication.
To realize you are two different people and although you are becoming
more like each other, you still have major differences.
Relish in those differences because they are what make a marriage dynamic,
refreshing,and unpredictable.

President Hinckley says it best:
“Let us not live a life … that would bring regret. … It is not going to matter very much how much money you made, what kind of a house you lived in, what kind of a car you drove, the size of your bank account—any of those things. What is going to matter is that dear woman who has walked with you side by side as your companion through all of the years of life and those children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren and their faithfulness and their looking to you … with respect and love and deference and kindness.”

For our one year we had planned out an amazing trip to Moab and of course
I had to get sick the night before we left ( joys of pregnancy)!
So, we decided to hike up Red Rock where Taylor proposed.
We packed up some take out Thai food because it's our favorite, a bottle of
Martinelli's, two glasses, a blanket, and we set off on the trail.
It was our first time up there since our engagement and I had forgotten
how incredibly breath taking the view was.

Love you Taylor. Cheers to one year of Marriage!!!
